Is there any compatibility issues with Sim Update 5?

On 2 instances I have not been able to successfully “Move Aircraft” after setting up. The “You Have Controls” does not appear after “Working” appears. Instead the button “Move Aircraft” gets deactivated again.

Hi,

Sorry for my late reply,
which aircraft gave you issue?

Cheers,

Hi JP

I can concur, although with my set up the aircraft will move but no message to Press Brakes to take control. The landing too far left problem is back again, thats why I have been trying to run the Update Database function.

Set Up
Cessna 172 Skyhawk ( G1000 ) --> General Aviation detected.
CYGE Rwy 32 Short Final

thanks,

Dave

Just to confirm previous post, I have that same problem in that FSIPanel never tells me to press brake for 3 seconds to take control. Nonetheless if I do so, I can continue with the approach.

Glad to see this software available for MSFS.

Found the problem. In order to see those messages, one needs to enable the FLYING TIPS in the ASSISTANCE OPTIONS page under NOTIFICATION. Previously I had all of those options turned off.

Cheers and thanks for checking back with me.

Thanks for the info, normally this option is ON by default.
Maybe it changed, i need to look at it.

Cheers,

I'm not sure about the default status, but if one sets the ASSISTANCE OPTIONS to TRUE TO LIFE or the NOTIFICATION options to HARD, the FLYING TIPS are automatically set to OFF. This might well impact the FSIPanel user base who (I assume) might set these more advanced options for routine use.
