I am flying the PMDG 737. I went into setup and elevated RNAV to the top to practice some RNAV approaches.
At KMCO where I tried this, choosing 8 mile final, RWY 17L for example has both ILS and RNAV, but even with RNAV at the top of the priority list FSiPanel will always choose the ILS. RWY 18L has only an RNAV and then it selects it. I am using Navigraph.

It would be helpful for consistency with ILS approach verbiage when displaying an RNAV approach to identify it as such on the "Move aircraft to position summary" button, which presently says only "RWY 18L, 8 nm at 2600 feet," after getting the RNAV approach, no different than what I was seeing at KSNA when it presented only a visual approach. At first I was unsure if FSiPanel was selecting an RNAV approach.

RNAV approaches publish a course, but the course is not entered by FSI Panel as it is in the ILS setup. Since we are using LNAV it may not matter, but I was interested in this difference in setup.

Sorry just saw this post, I will give it a go tomorrow in KMCO to see the priority and the reason why it's not picked up by FSiPanel.

Ok, everyting ok here in KMCO.
Can you check in config.xml found in FSiPanel folder what is the path to your PMDG 737 SIDSTAR folder, is that the right one?

It appears to point correctly. I have MSFS installed on my F Drive
and the xml points to:
<PMDG738SIDSTAR>F:\MSFS 2020\Community\pmdg-aircraft-738\Config\SIDSTARS</PMDG738SIDSTAR>
which contains the Navigraph data as expected.

This is what I am seeing after elevating RNAV to the top which should select the available RNAV approach at KMCO 17L. You must be seeing something different on your end because it is not working for me.
Am I doing something wrong in terms of being able to select RNAV approach when both ILS and RBAV are available?

It happened once to another pilot, the reason was that PMDG 737 was installed two times on his PC and FSiPanel was pointing to the initial SID/STAR location.

Could you send me log.txt after you selected RNV as top priority and you clicked MOVE AC. We should see if the approach was found in the directory.

Here is the log text, again KMCO 17L with RNAV selected and move aircraft selected.

I should add that I am using the Microsoft store version and MSFS 2020 is installed on my F Drive, and FSIPanel is installed in its own folder on the F Drive as well. As far as I know PMDG has been installed only once, I only have the 800 model.

And one last question, should not FSiPanel be showing the approach as an RNAV for 17L like it does for the ILS instead of the non specific name I get (see above) when RNAV is selected for a runway that has only RNAV approaches?

For what it's worth, I tried this out myself and I do see the same thing as Greg...
