Problem with Push to Talk PTT

Post by huberp »

Hello from Geneva!

JP, many thanks for your excellent program, which I use with great pleasure in MFSF!
However, I have a problem with the Voice ATC scenarios.
The installation goes smoothly and I can hear the ATIS. However, Push to Talk PTT doesn't work in my MSFS. I tried 2 scenarios with the PMDG 737 and the Fenix A320 (Geneva to Zurich Voice and Southwest 330 KPSP-KLAS).
I suspect a problem with my controller, a Logitech X-56 (one stick and one throttle). Your software recognizes 2x the same label (cf jpeg), only one is configurable. I can configure it in FSiPanel, but it doesn't work in MFSF. There are no allocation conflicts. All my programs and drivers are up to date and in administrator mode.

Thanks for your help

Philippe

Hi,

Thanks for your message!

When you select one of this controller in FSiPanel and click your PTT button, do you see the green button flashing?
Did you follow this tutorial https://youtu.be/8X966tDUE0Q

Hi JP,

Yes, I followed your video carefully. And yes, the green button lights up when I press the controller button in FSiPanel.

The detection of my controllers (stick and throttle) is strange because the interface gives the same name twice (throttle) and therefore misidentifies the "stick". In addition, both controllers have buttons when the interface says that one doesn't.

I re-installed the X-56 HOTAS drivers and FSiPanel, but the problem remains.
The scenario works normally until I try to use Push To Talk, which doesn't work.

Thank you for your help.

Cheers,

Philippe

Thanks for the info, never had this issue so far.
Could you try to setup the other controller, I guess you tried one with the button flashing, can you try the other one with same name, do you also have a button flashing when you press your PTT ?

With the other controller (the first on the list and with the same name as the second), I get the message "no button on this controller" (c.f. my image) and I can't access the interface to select a button.

Hi J-P / Philippe,

I have a similar issue with the VelocityOne Flight controller, see attached. Buttons register fine in setup but aren't detected in the scenario.

Hi,

I will send an update later today that should fix the issue.
With the help of Philippe I was able to understand the issue and it will probably help you as well.
