Positioning with custom acft config sets speed to zero

Hi;

New user here.

I've tried using FSiPanel to position several aircraft that were configured with the custom aircraft config, since FSiPanel does not recognize them. I set the vector speed to 160, and the final speed to 140 in the custom config menu that comes up when FSiPanel is first started with a non-recognized acft type. I then select a position, for example "LH Vectors" or "Long Final" in the position menu.

Then when I select "Move AC", the aircraft is repositioned to the expected location and altitude, but the airspeed is zero, so the plane does an immediate vertical nose-dive.

This happens with every acft I've tried using the custom configuration...BlackSquare B350i and Dukes, FSR M500 etc. I do not believe it's a problem with the add-ons, because if I go to the Sim Controls page in FSiPanel and set an airspeed there, it does change the airspeed, so the add-ons are not preventing an external program from setting the speed. Speeds are set normally when a recognized acft is in use--it appears that only when a speed is set via the custom config menu that FSiPanel is not writing the specified airspeed out properly when repositioning the plane.

Please take a look at this, as it prevents FSiPanel from being used with a fairly significant number of high-quality add-ons.

Regards

Bob Scott

Thanks for taking the time to do this.

The problem was that I had not pressed the "import" button after making the entries into the form.

A suggestion: I think it would be a good idea to mention that important last step in the manual, and also to change the "import" button to read "save to database" or something like that to make it more intuitive. I interpreted "import" as meaning to bring something in, rather than saving something out.

Is there any way to edit the custom configuration once added to the db?

Thanks again

Bob Scott
