VFR only and Virtual Reality Issues

Post by Sirius »

Hi,

New to FSi Panel having purchased the advanced edition over the weekend mainly for use with the Fenix A320.

I've run into a couple of issues so far, the first is that it seems to put itself in 'VFR' mode which sits there in green above the select airport button, which then seems to import the local realtime METAR? Its quite windy in the UK at the moment and I'd like to practice with light/no winds as I am having a hard time controlling the aircraft.

The second issue seems to be with VR, I've loaded flights in normal 2D mode as per a few suggestions and then done the climb detent and let FSI panel do its thing, when then switching to VR the frame rate is really low and its unflyable (I don't have any issues when not using FSi Panel) is the software known for being heavy hitting CPU/GPU?

Appreciate any suggestions on either issue :)

Hi,

VFR means that the actual live weather at your training airport meets VFR flight rules.
If you want to fly approaches with light wind, try to locate it with random airport feature, select wind less than 10kts.

I haven't done any test in VR so far as I'm not equipped. I know that instructions window is not appearing in VR mode, I'm looking for a solution.

FSiPanel is very light on CPU/GPU as it does not interfere anymore with the sim once the aircraft is flying.
