737 BLACK SCREEN

when i practice, say, raw data sid. after passing the VOR i want to reposition the aircraft back for new takeoff:
- if i try to do this via fsi panel i get a wrong position. i mid air somewhere
- if i try to restart MSFS i am in the correct spot, but the screens are black. i cannot click anything.
engines do work and thrusters work.
the only way to fix it is to restart the game, which takes time of course.

i tried another session but this time i landed at the destination airport.
in this case a restart of the session (not the simulator, just the restart button in MSFS) did work!

how do i remedy this?

FSiPanel does not reposition aircraft from Airborne to Runway.
