Fsi cannot locate the community folder, please paste the community fold path

Post by wdm12 »

I recently updated the FSI panel and every time I run it, a message shows up " Fsi cannot locate the community folder, please paste the community fold path." I pasted the correct path and made an input of the path, but it still shows up every time I run it. please advise what to do. Thank you! Please refer to the picture I uploaded.

Hi,

did you install FSiPanel with a different username than MSFS?
Could you try to delete config.xml and start over to see if the directory is found ?

If not, please contact me at support at fsipanel.com

HI J-P
I found the config.xml under C drive and deleted it, restarted the FSI panel, chose KG and meters in the pop up menu, then it required community folder path, pasted it and closed FSI panel , restarted it again, unfortunately, it requires community folder again. Deleting the config.xml does not seem to solve the problem. Any advice? Thanks

Hi J-P
Now I found this community folder path issue is rather interesting. I tried Fenix 320 a few times, it works all fine, no pop up message asking to paste the community folder path at all. However when I switch back PMDG 737 600 (Microsoft marketplace version) the message always pops up asking for community folder directory. I just did the update today and for PMDG 737 600, the message still shows up every time when I run Fsipanel. Any ideas?

Hi Frank,

Fenix does not need the community folder to work with FSiPanel, but PMDG does for the snapshots and SID/STARS.

Could you please contact me by email at support at fsipanel.com? We will conduct some troubleshooting.

We have encountered a case where a user installed MSFS on one user account of the system but installed FSiPanel on another. As a result, Windows created two independent folder structures on the system, causing accessibility issues.
