No VNAV

Problem: No VNAV

Cannot figure out what I am doing wrong with PMDG737, MSFS2020 and FSiPanel.

Testing : RNAV RNP LNAV/VNAV approaches with FSiPanel, MSFS2020, P3D5 and PMDG737-600 or 700.

The setup for my approach is a downwind for RNAV (RNP) X rwy 4L at KDTW.

Here are two screenshots with P3D5 and two with MSFS2020.

When ready for the approach I CDU line select REGGE to be the active waypoint then press LNAV and VNAV.


After selecting LNAV and VNAV I get the correct results (LNAV / VNAV active, PFD , ND) with P3D5 but not with MSFS2020.


Notes:
I only have the PMDG-600 and -700 for testing.
The PMDG-800, -900 and now the PMDG777 would also need to be tested.

I also later tested MSFS2020 KSAN LOC 27 and did not get IAN for G/P.

I found the problem.

When setting up the CDU I had not set a Cruise Altitude.

Exactly, well done, without CRZ ALT, FMC is lost and can't compute its descent profile.
