Question About the 2020 <--> 2024 License Transfer

Post by maorgr »

Hi,

I have a question regarding the following:

"Transferring your license allows you to use both FSiPanel 2020 for MSFS and FSiPanel 2024, as long as they are not run simultaneously. Running both versions at the same time will immediately deactivate the licenses."

There have been several instances where FS2020 appeared to be closed, but in reality, it was still running in the background without my knowledge(unless I tried to re-run it and then Steam would give me an indication that it is. in fact still running), along with other add-on services like the Fenix A320 service.

Is there a way for FSiPanel to check if the other sim is fully shut down before allowing the instance of FSiPanel connected to the sim I want to use to start? The last thing I want is for the licenses to be deactivated.

Thank you in advance for your help,

Maor

Hi Maor,

if MSFS 2020 is still running BUT FSiPanel 2020 for MSFS is not running, no issues.
So if your MSFS 2020 is still running in background and you closed FSiPanel 2020, you can start 2024 without any issue.
