Could someone clarify what the purpose of the PROF: button on the position page, specifically the "CLEAN" and "FINAL"

Hi,

You can change the aircraft configuration out of standard.
For example, you want to fly 8NM final but not with gear down, FLAP full, select VECTORS and the aircraft will be with intermediate flaps and gear up.
If you select CLEAN, you will be on final with a clean aircraft.
